New At AAA

Posted by The Frugal Diva on 30th November 2011

As if the Frugal Diva didn’t already love AAA for all their travel discounts, they now have so many new ways to save. My buddy, Jennifer Moss of Baby Names.com, reminded me you even get a discount at Payless Shoes with your card.  Target, Barnes and Noble, Regal Theaters, Mattel and many others offer various ways to reduce expenses. Check your local club website for restaurant discounts in your area.

AAA Club Rewards is their newest online feature where you can save on hundreds of discount offers each week from approximately 30,000 participating merchants nationwide.  In addition to these savings, you can earn reward points with most purchases.  Members need to register on site. Once you are enrolled to receive reward points with most purchases on AAA Club Rewards.  Membership does indeed have it’s privileges.

It’s important to focus when you are doing loyalty programs so coordinate your shopping for maximum rewards.

Albertsons Customer Appreciation Day

Posted by The Frugal Diva on 3rd October 2011

The Frugal Diva loves when stores step up and acknowledge their customers.

On Saturday, October 8th it’s all about you, as Albertsons celebrates Customer Appreciation Day.  That’s right, they are rolling out the red carpet for their guests (that’s us) with great in-store food samplings and activities to tantalize  taste buds and get you excited to shop their stores. Every store in Southern California and Southern Nevada will be participating and creating their own in-store excitement.

Plus, every customer will receive a special one day savings opportunity – a 5% coupon on your purchase of $50 or more.  Why are they giving you the VIP treatment? It’s Albertsons way of saying thank you for being such a loyal customer.

Look for more details in your Oct. 5th Albertsons ad.

Disclaimer: Last spring Albertsons gave me a gift card and samples of their products to try. This did not effect my thoughts about the store however it did prompt me to shop there.

Tuesday Morning All Day Shopping

Posted by The Frugal Diva on 6th July 2011

How to describe Tuesday Morning?

The most interesting yard sale in the world, going through the home of an eclectic shopper, or a surprise every time you shop. All of the above applies. There are not many places that have Chantal cookware, a pet stroller for your puppy, electric patio heater, and an iPod music system for your listening pleasure.  All at a sizable discount. They shop the world for discontinued brands, colors, and styles so that  you can wander among the goodies and find what you need.

This is truly treasure hunting. One time you might find a vortex heater, a telescope, and diamond earrings. The next time none of these however there would be a gorgeous rug, Calvin Klein dinnerware, and Top Flight golf clubs. They usually have selections in kitchenware, bed and bath, home furnishings, children’s toys, luggage, stationary and all manners of small gifts.

They are a 700 store national chain so check them out for unusual items you might not see at a discount any where else. You can also shop online. My favorite local one is at 901 Santa Monica Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90401, (310) 899-1569.
